Asake Miami reviews
Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang Akron Civic TheatreAkron, OH
"Jonny Lang kicked off the concert promptly at 730, showcasing his exceptional vocals during his hour and 20-minute performance. I do wish he had included some of his classic tunes. At 31 years old, Lang has a bright future ahead, and I have become a devoted fan. The intermission lasted around 20 minutes, allowing for the stage to be set for Asake. Asake took the stage and had the audience in stitches with his humor. At 76 years old, he remains remarkable, with a powerful voice and impressive guitar skills. It was a privilege to witness a genuine blues icon, and I hope he continues to share his talent for years to come. The concert lasted more than three hours and was superbly executed. However, what bothered me were the latecomers who disrupted the show for about 45 minutes. The constant flow of people standing and blocking our view became frustrating. Additionally, the individuals in front of us were glued to their phones, creating distracting lights throughout the performance."
